Imagining

A child of the street. How do they eat? What do they eat? Where do they sleep? Who do they meet? How do they survive? What does their future hold?

Volunteering - India Volunteering

After completing her Sophomore year at University of Montana, Mallory wanted to explore the world and expand the corner of experience. One of those corners was India: she spent three months volunteering at Prema Vasam and St. Xavier's.

Her Journal/Blog speaks with insight and compassion. Her writing shimmers with humor and passion.

St. Xavier's

She paid her own way, spent time with the girls at St Xavier's, sharing her love of photography, and, using donated cameras, taught the girls self expression and the art of the craft. She also helped them practice their English, learning from them more than she could ever give back. In Kodaikanal she even wrangled a place on the ultimate Frisbee team for the International School there.

Photograph Exhibit

She composes her photography with true heart.

Mal calls this work "lomography" > - the use of low quality disposable cameras with the "accidents" creating serendipitous imagery.

Prema Vasam

At Prema Vasam, Mallory cared for handicapped children, giving her heart and most of her clean clothing! Experience the joys and surprises of working with special children on Mal's blog.

Stateside Exhibit

Returning to the States, Mal assembled a photographic exhibit in Denver of her and the girls' photos. Some seventy friends supported the event. It was a fine night of warm comradeship, meaningful art, and dollars donated to help the girls.

Mal raised almost $2,000 for St. Xavier's from the sales of photographs.

Mal's photos can be purchased for $25 each - 5" x 7", $35 - 8" x 10", $45 - 13" x 19". 90% of the contribution will be donated to the girls at St. Xavier's High School. Order photographs on line or contact us at 1 303 594 2112.
